 Do you ever wish you knew someone who is researching the same area that you are planning to research or visit? Someone that already knows which records are where, can recommend a terrific B & B or is on speaking terms with the local history buff who probably went to school with your great uncle Jessie.  Or maybe the shoe is on the other foot. You’ve been “there” many times, know it like the back of your hand and would love to share your knowledge, enthusiasm & stories with others.

 Well, you are in luck. Our “County Connection” program is designed to help you find the very someone you’ve been wishing to CONNECT with. Read on to learn how it works and how you can become a participant.

 TGS has developed a data based program, “County Connections”, from research data submitted by individual members. This program allows contributing members who are researching or have an interest in a particular county to connect with one another and to share information. Regarding the privacy issue, information can only be accessed by a member entering his/her unique membership number and only from a computer located at the TGS library. 

 To utilize this privilege of membership please complete the attached form. To get your information added to the data base ASAP, complete only as much required data as readily comes to mind and forward it to us for entry. You can submit additional information at any time in the future as your research expands or as you have the time to search your files for more data. The more counties and related information you submit, the more likely are your chances to CONNECT.

 As the “County Connection” data base grows so does its value to you personally and to all members.  Help us reach our goal of 100 % member participation.
