Tulsa Genealogy Society, a nonprofit organization of family historians,
has as its aim to assist members in researching family histories
 and in the gathering, recording and preserving of genealogical information
pertaining to Tulsa County.

All of our activities at TGS are accomplished by volunteers. 
Our income is derived from dues, publications, research, and donations.
By making a Donation you are ensuring that this historical information
will continue to be available for you and for future generations to come.

Charitable receipts for Income Tax purposes are issued for all gifts valued
at $25 or more or upon request if less than $25.
Show your appreciation for TGS by mailing in a donation.

Activities for the Summer!

Since we technically "take the summer off" at TGS from our monthly meetings, we are offering two
events during July and August. It is our goal to "not lose touch with each other" so it is important
that we all participate as we can.

July 20th - Saturday, 6:30 - 8:30 pm we are planning a Family Picnic time. It is for your entire family
and the TGS family (ants not invited). So mark your calendar now.
It will be in one of the local parks with plenty of room for kids to run
and play. It will be a homestyle picnic (pot-luck) so bring a dish to share.
 Also bring chairs, blankets, whatever so we can
gather together to share our summer activities. Park will be announced ASAP.
We will try to have a pavilion but if not,
plenty of shade!

Friday, Aug 16th, 6 pm - 11 pm, let's have "a Research Lock-In!"
It will be at TGS and we will have research assistants to work with you
in your family tree search! More information will be forthcoming. But mark you calender now!!!

A "Loose Change Money Tree" has been "planted" at the Library to raise donations
for the purchase of a copy machine for our library guests and members as they do their research.
This will be a stand-alone office copier - not a computer printer.
We are half-way to our goal of $400.00.
Be sure to ask about it and/or remember to add your gift to facilitate its "rapid growth"
on your next visit to the Library.

June 30th ends our TGS Membership Year for 2012-2013. Take time now to send in your dues
 to keep your membership active. One of the benefits of membership is that you will
continue to receive TGS' E-Newsletter with society news and announcements of upcoming events.
You may mail in your payment with the notation of "membership 2013-2014" on it or drop it by when you

Hospitality (Help prepare for TGS Meetings, Special Events, Greet Members and Visitors)

In addition to the above mentioned areas, there are always ways to share your interests
and talents with TGS? Just let us know what you are looking for! Remember!!!! The more
you "put into an organization" the more "you gain from that organization".
